[He obviously never looks at it.]
Tony made it. Apparently it's supposed to be good for social networking? I haven't seen it.
[Look at that lack of effort.]
no subject
It can be. Depends what you're looking for honestly, but I know you're pretty old fashioned.
no subject
Too many buttons. I can't see the appeal in it, honestly, but I'll assume you know what you're doing.
[Is that an excuse not to actually use the app? It sure is!]
no subject
Just because you don't like to learn about technology, doesn't mean you're incapable.
You're quite Cap-able.
[So proud.]
no subject
[He's not trying hard enough, Rogue. Steve is playing dumb again. The joke does get him to warm up, though.]
...I guess I could find some use for it. I don't really have people to, uh, meet.
no subject
[It just required sifting. Thankfully, the tech folks had their methods.
Lame puns are her favorite. Ask Remy.]
There are always people to meet, especially here.
What keeps you busy if you're not being a social butterfly?
no subject
I'm working with the Perimeter Guard right now. Thought about pushing outward, see what's beyond the city range.
There's a whole moon here and we're really only seeing one part of it.
no subject
Sounds about right for you. You know to give me a holler if you need an extra set of hands.
What's outside the walls? Anything too tough for me to handle you think?
no subject
[So, that's a yes.]
Haven't seen anything too tough for you yet. On or off the moon. But if you want to go out sometime, you and I could take a look together and see what we can kick up.
no subject
[Rogue, unlike Steve, does not have the patience of a saint, and she has no desire to tolerate bigotry and blind hate. Not that she's looking to create trouble, honest.]
Sounds like a pleasant afternoon stroll to me.
no subject
[He will fight them all, Rogue. Just say the word.]
It's a little quiet, but nice. Bucky likes it. Haven't really been able to drag the others out much.
no subject
[But she'd moonwalked away from that one quick.
That's why she likes Steve. They will fight them together if the occasion arises because teamwork.]
I'm glad. I didn't know him too well back home, but he seems like good people even without your word.
Why won't the others venture out?
no subject
[Wow, Anna Marie, how do you manage it? Steve decides that it's probably best to move on quickly.]
He keeps things going. Without him, I wouldn't be here.
[And that's a fact.]
Some of them are avoiding the trouble. You know how it is. They don't want to step back in. I guess I can't blame them for wanting a break. It's not really their world to explore or jump into.
But I could use some willing hands to go out with.
no subject
[She had been utterly blindsided thank you very much. Moving on.]
I get it. It's good you have him here.
[She wishes her best friend were here, even with the complicated nature of their relationship.]
I've long since learned that what I want ain't as important when I got the abilities and experiences to protect and fight for those who can't. Hate to say it, but if we're living here and reaping the benefits of a 'normal' life, then it's 'our world' for however long we're here
That being said, you know you got my help. Don't need to ask, but I ain't a telepath.
So you might need to ask if I'm otherwise unawares of a situation.
no subject
You don't have to tell me. As long as I'm here, I'll do what I can to protect this city and help those that live here. But we can't force the rest of them to think that way.
[He does understand that some of them need to hide. They are there by surprise, but they might have needed the escape. He can only focus on his own choices.]
I'll make sure to ask.
It's good to have you here. We needed you.
no subject
No, but I can certainly make mental notes on the matter.
[That being said, she has no problem knocking on doors for assistance should they need it.]
Thanks sugar.
Is that you're way of sayin' you missed a mutant Steve?
no subject
[Okay, he doesn't know what to do with that. She caught him with this one. He has no idea what to say. Time to move on!]
I'm saying I missed you. And a lot of people from home. Mutants and super-humans included.
no subject
[Bet he's happy for his curiosity now, isn't he?]
Well I am a lady with a rather pleasant demeanor. ;D
A appreciate and missed the not angry at me version of you too. Back home I'd just pissed you off.
no subject
You are one of a kind and I'm glad to see you.
What happened back home?
no subject
Same here apple pie.
[There's a bit of a pause before she responds to the rest.]
Charles Xavier was murdered.
Red Skull got the telepathic part of his brain and augmented it to his. We end up getting that piece back, but you wanted SHIELD to have it.
I promptly disagreed and took matters into my own hands. Charles is at peace now. Finally.
no subject
I wanted SHIELD to...?
[That sounds off to him, but it's because he's been recently butting heads with Fury. Hard. He can't picture himself wanting to work that closely with them at the moment.]
But it worked out.
[That's actually a question.]
no subject
So far. I ain't from too far after that happened to be honest.
